My first baseball game

It was Bark in the Park last night at Applebees park. Me and 366 of my doggie friends of Lexington enjoyed watching the baseball game. I actually really enjoyed the game because I like to play with baseballs and I was patiently waiting to join the team on the field! It was a wonderful summer night! I even got to hang out with a dog smaller than me... actually, alot smaller than me...!

A Present from Pam and Molly!

Grandma Pam and Molly dog sent us a finals present! Lots of yummy stuff for Dave (Sarah hopes he will share with her) and then a purple squeaky dinosaur. How did they know that that was JUST what I wanted!!?!?! I think I'm going to take it to play when I go see my buddies Kendall and Gus during the time Dave and Sarah are studying for finals! They will love it!

One year ago today...

One year ago from today Dave and Sarah came and picked me up from BJ Kennels and brought me to Lexington. Here is a picture of me on the ride home. I was so scared and sad on that day to be leaving my mommy and brothers and sisters... but little did I know that I would be gaining two parents who love me so much, maybe too much! I have turned into a beautiful dog, but you have to admit-- I was a pretty cute puppy!

Okay, so maybe I'm not the FASTEST, but I'm pretty close! Here I am playing with my friend Romo at the Red Mile Race Track. Kendall and Gus have been coming and taking me to the park and to fun places like this while Dave and Sarah study for their finals. I love it!

Lost Toys

Dave and I went on a mission to find some of my lost toys today. I
tried to direct him to all my magic hiding places. This was one.

I prefer lazy boys.... the recliner that is.

I spent Wednesday in Frankfort visiting my favorite aunt Elizabeth. I enjoyed playing in the yard and running around the big house. However, my all time favorite spot to hang out is this comfy recliner. It was Mom Kathryn's and she would always share with me. I know she would be happy to know that I'm still enjoying it. :o)

Weekend with my buddy Leighan

Though we wish we were meeting on a happier note, I got to spend lots of quality time with my little friend Leighan this weekend when I was in Pikeville for Mom Kathryn's memorial service. I just love the fact that Leighan is a smaller person... just my size. I tried to convince her to stop growing, but she said she was going to be bigger soon. I'm comforted to know that no matter how big she gets, she will always be my friend. I do wonder, however, if she will ever get my name right... she calls me "El-wah" for some reason. I miss her already.

My 1st Birthday and my 1st Birthday Cake!

Yesterday was my one year old birthday and I got my very own cake from Bluegrass Barkery! We didn't have a very big party, but Pam, John, and Molly attended through skype and Anna and Doug attended through skype also. Christian and Stacy attended by speaker phone. I really enjoyed hearing my birthday song. And... I reeeaaalllly loved my cake! I did not like my hat; But I think Sarah is right -- completes the pictures and is very festive! I was told to share my cake, but I think I'm very capable of eating it all myself!!!!

Buddies.

This is my buddy Gus. Check out his cool blue jacket. He is always looking so nice and warm, but I have to admit--- I am jealous. I want one. I think Sarah thinks I'm warm enough with all my fur... but I am not! It is coooold right now in Kentucky. After this picture was taken, we got a fresh layer of snow.

By the way -- I hug and kiss Gus everytime I see him. I just can't resist that cute face! However, I get the feeling that he can resist mine. :o( I might have too much energy for him.

I know... I'm the best little dog!!! I got Sarah this card with a puppy on it for her birthday! I think she loved it. I also gave her lots of kisses. I don't think she was too excited about turning 24, but I enjoyed celebrating her special day with her!

How I get away with so much...

Sometimes I do things I know I shouldn't... like chew a little on shoes and jump up onto coffee tables to enjoy a bowl of cereal that might not be mine. But I know what to do when I get caught. I have mastered a few special expressions (like the one above) that seem to grant me mercy. I consider it a talent.

Time to wake from my Blogging Hibernation... Spring is coming!

I have to admit, winter has got the best of me. All this snow... No real play time! Sometimes I think I would like to go out for a little jog, but I find that my paws just get too cold to stay out too long (I even do a three legged hop to indicate to Sarah that I just cannot take it anymore). So sadly, I find myself sleeping most of the day and dreaming about sunshine and spring weather. It could not get here soon enough. As you can tell from above, Sarah and Dave just haven't been that fun either. Corporate Finance reading = boring!

I apologize for not blogging over the past few months, but I am ready to start back and have really missed speaking with you all.

As some of you may know, I am preparing for an exciting summer. Dave asked Sarah to marry him, and she said yes! And they are not wasting any time in getting down the aisle. Folks, we are less than 6 months away from the big day! I'm nervous as I just recently learned of the special role I will be playing. At first I was pretty confused? "Ring Baerer? What is that?" However, once I learned that it was a fairly important, and simple, job, I was up for the challenge. I have six months to learn to walk down a straight line towards Dave without being distracted by all the lovely people "cooing" over me. It may be difficult, as you know how much I love people (especially lovely ones), however, I will keep my eye on the prize and will deliver the rings so that my family may become one! :o)
