Sunny Summer Sundays.

We had wonderful weather today and I really enjoyed it! We went on several walks through the fluffy, green grass at Merrick. Sarah and Stephanie went to the Merrick pool and then Sarah and Dave went out and found a charcoal grill. They grilled the Omaha steaks that Aunt Elizabeth sent. They said that they tasted really good, but they didn't share with me! All I wanted was a little taste of whatever was on Dave's plate!

We sat out in the chairs on the balcony for a while and watched the sun go down. I had fun watching all the other dogs in the neighborhood go for their walks, too.

But after a while, I began to have a hard time keeping my eyes open and Dave put me to bed!

My new old toy...

When Sarah and Dave drove up to Berry,KY to pick me up and bring me home (which was over a month ago now), they brought with them a little teddy bear with a squeaky sound. They thought I would want to play with it, but they were wrong. I wasn't interested in it at all! Well lately it's been my favorite toy. Funny how old toys become new again when they stay out of sight for a couple of weeks... Here is me after a long wrestling match with my little teddy.

12 weeks old!

We celebrated my 12th week birthday today! Being born on a Wednesday
sure helps with my schedule since I not only look forward to weekends,
but also my Wednesday celebrations! June 1st will be my 3 mo.
Birthday...feel free to send me presents..just kidding. I have enough
of those! ;) Don't you just love my birthday hat?

Dave and I are practicing my "sitting" skills. I'm pretty good at it and love getting my yummy treats. More practice, please!

A Weekend Away

Dave and Sarah spent the weekend in Orlando at Nevada and Sherine's wedding. I got to stay at home. Sarah's sorority sister, Allison, came over and stayed with me. We had lots of fun and she gave me a new toy. I missed Dave and Sarah, though, and was so very happy when they got home! Sarah wanted to share these pictures of the wedding with you!

Sarah refuses to buy me a dog bed so I have decided to make one out of
everything I come across--Sweatshirts, blue jeans, suitcases-- you
name it! Lately, I've been sleeping soundly on this lovely Vera
Bradley bag. Not only am I cute, but I have nice taste, too!

Miss Kentucky Orientation = No Sarah

I'm not going to get to play with Sarah as much this weekend because she has to spend it with Joetta, the Miss Kentucky board and the other 31 contestants as they prepare for the competition in July. Tonight she came home from turning in paperwork and attending a very fun fashion show (I wish I could have gone!). We snapped a photo since I was so happy to see her and looking so cute. Unfortunately Sarah was sleeping in my cutest picture, but I thought I might post it anyway! Aren't my ears just the best?! How about my little white socks?! Judges, I'm a 10!

I hate needles :o(

Today I had my third round of shots. I took it very well with only a short little squeal. They were nice enough to put all three vaccines in one shot so that I was on stuck once and it was very quick. I was in a little bit of pain and was sleeping for the rest of the day, but I know I'm much healthier now! I can't wait to be fully vaccinated so that I can go meet friends at the dog park.

My Fun Day in Michigan!

I have had such a wonderful day in Michigan with Pam, John, Molly (beagle), and Dave. I really enjoy playing outside because I have lots of places to roam. I get scared, however, when the geese are around because they are bigger than me and make funny noises. Molly has been nice to me and is teaching me how to be a good dog. Pam and John show me lots of love and attention, too. I will miss them when I go back to Kentucky, but I know I will be back to visit Kalamazoo real soon. :o)

...The sunny suns callin' my name! =o) I am just having such a great day! Dave and Sarah finished their first year of law school today and the sun in is out so bright! Sarah took me for a nice long walk and I wanted to share these pictures with you. Summer is going to be just wonderful!

Happy 8th Birthday Christian!

I just wanted to send this shout out to one of my biggest blog fan's, Christian Billiter. He is one of my favorite people to play with and I am so excited that I will get to spend some quality time with him this summer! He is 8 years old today and I really hope that he has a wonderful weekend, eats lots of cake, and gets some fun toys to play with. (I also hope he shares some toys with me!) I love you, C-DAWG!

My Big Day of Achievement

Have you ever had a goal that you never thought you would reach? A goal that you worked so hard towards, but always seemed to fall two steps back with every step up? Well I had a goal, a dream, an aspiration-- and today it was completely REALIZED. My goal was to make it up the stairs to the apartment and today I did just that. I climbed each of the 14 steps all by myself! Up until now, I would make it up a few steps, but somehow would quickly end up back on the bottom every time. Not today! With a big run and go, Sarah on the top with my toys, and Dave on the bottom just in case something went terribly wrong, I made it all the way to the top in record time. This is the beginning of a new era. Watch out world, here I come!!! :o)

Happy Birthday to Me!

I am nine weeks old today! Happy Birthday to me.... I am sad though because today is the rainiest day we've had in a long time. Not my ideal celebration. The rain is pouring down and I really hate being wet. Dave and Sarah are inside studying for their Constitutional Law final so I'm just keeping myself occupied on the floor. Luckily, I have a new toy to play with. It's a little yellow birdie that I got for my birthday! See Grampa Billiter... I am a bird dog after all!

Civil Procedure makes me sleepy!

Wow! I can't believe Sarah and Dave are almost finished with their first year of law school. Civil Procedure test was today and now all that is left is Constitutional Law! Yippee! We were up late studying so its time for a good afternoon nap... I've already got a head start on them! :o)

Sarah, Dave and I have been studying the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure all day! We hope we know them all by tomorrow!!! :o)

Sarah traveled to Barbourville with Mama Billiter today to visit Joetta and Libby. They took pictures and picked out pretty dresses! While they were gone, I stayed with Dave. It was a great day. I made sure to be a good puppy so he could get lots of studying done. I was very content on his comfy couch.

Oh, What a night....!

Last night was NOT the best night of my life! I had a horrible stomach ache and did not sleep a wink. (Unfortunately, that means Sarah didn't sleep either, but she still loves me.) I think I might have accidentally eaten something not so good and my belly was swollen and grumbled all night long. PLUS, it rained all night, so each time I had to go out the grass was wet. I will not "Go Potty" on wet grass... just not my style! Anyway, 7am came around and I just could not hold it in... I think you know what happened without me having to go into the details. =0(

As a result of the sickness, Sarah thought it was a good time to take my first bath at home and just wash it all away! I did not think this was a good idea and was pretty miserable throughout the entire process. Check out my face in these pictures!

Good news: Now I'm clean AND feeling much better!

Since Sarah is pretty busy studying right now I have to find ways to occupy my time. I usually just decide to chew on something... here is a picture of my many current options. Tough decisions are being made here!

Halfway there!

Sarah and Dave are halfway through their tests and I could not be happier! I can't wait until they are stressfree and can play with me more. I was happy to see Dave after his test yesterday!

So Mama Billiter and Christian came to town to take care of Stephanie and to help us get settled into our new apartment. Now we have silverware, pans, and a toaster. We're hoping she will leave us with a refrigerator filled with food! Christian is a great dog sitter and has helped Sarah when she went for her test and when she is studying. He has never had an inside dog, so he is learning a lot about having to take me outside to potty a lot! We are going to have lots of fun this weekend together. =)
